Diane Von Furstenberg Celebrates 40 Years Of The Wrap Dress With Gwyneth Paltrow, Ashley Olsen & More

Diane von Furstenberg "Journey of a Dress" honors the wrap's 40-year reign with a retrospective featuring vintage and contemporary versions of the dress, portraits of the designer by artists like Annie Leibovitz, Andy Warhol and Helmut Newton, a collection of stills from the dress' appearances in film, and works inspired by the dress by noted artists. Following stops in Asia, South America, and the Middle East, the "Journey" has landed in L.A. at LACMA's historic Wilshire May Company Building where it will be on display through April. To celebrate it's debut, Diane Von Furstenberg hosted a glamorous opening party Friday night that brought out stars, designers, and fashion aficionados galore. Among the many notables in attendance were Gwyneth Paltrow, Anna Wintour, Christian Louboutin, Demi Moore, Tobey Maguire, David Geffen, Rachel Zoe, Anderson Cooper, Coco Rocha, Rooney Mara, Ashley Olson, and many more.
