If you think Hello Kitty is just for little kids, it may have been a while since you've been shopping. The aggressively cute Japanese character, which by some reports is the second most recognizable cartoon in the world (behind, obviously, a certain Jonas Brother-abusing mouse), is so firmly embedded in global consumer consciousness that her image appears on everything from jewelry made by Kimora to, um, "personal massagers."
