Slide #1

Golden Sun Always held on a Wednesday, the hotel's March lineup for the monthly live music event "Live @ The Library" included performances from indie rockers Kitten, Golden Sun, and Tashaki Miyaki. Making the most of the benefits of life in Southern California, guests could enjoy the fresh evening air with the concert held outside in The Redbury's minimalist garden courtyard. Although we thoroughly enjoy and appreciate grimy rock show venues, the band playing against the backdrop of some trees and L.A. night sky was a lovely change of scenery for the occasion. Tashaki Miyaki, a melodic trio with both a female drummer and vocalist, played its quiet, mellow pop tunes, while Golden Sun kicked up the energy with its more power pop-influenced atmospheric indie rock. Finally, the escalation climaxed as Kitten, whose lead singer danced and writhed around as she belted the music, filled the courtyard with 80s-inspired synths along with its frenetic guitar work and driving percussion. We'll keep you posted on the lineup for the next Live @ The Library session, but in the meantime, check out the slideshow for more photo's from Wednesday's show and go HERE to see the complete photo gallery.
