The First Friday live music series presented by KCRW and Spaceland is held in one of the most awesomely unconventional venues in the history of concert series: The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles' mammal hall, a long rectangular room with historic habitat dioramas filled with life-size wild animals lining the walls. We were there to catch April installment featuring Dan Deacon and Japanther and capture the majesty of how live music can inspire man's inner wild beast.
