Other Details: The 38th annual People's Choice Awards kicked off at the Nokia Theatre as the first big night for Awards Season 2012 Wednesday night where Katy Perry would have taken home a grand total of five trophies, had she decided to show up. Johnny Depp was also in the no-show category, leaving the likes of Kim Kardashian, Adam Sandler, and Morgan Freeman to rake in the obviously meaningless honors (didn't we all agree to hate Kim?). Most memorable acceptance speech of the evening: "Let this giant crystallized tear of victory symbolize your excellent taste.” Whoever you are, Nathan Fillon, we salute you.
