Slide #2

Shepard Fairey Both CBS and CNN's live broadcasts were projected outside on the walls conveniently above the bar so guests could re-up on booze without missing a beat. Among those who came out proudly sporting their "I Voted" stickers and lots of red white and blue were some familiar faces, including Dita Vin Teese, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, Aziz Ansari, and co-host Aaron Paul with his lovely fiance Lauren Parsekian. A mix of dance-worthy favorites and classic hip-hop came courtesy of the many DJ who covered the ones and two throughout the night, including Shepard Fairey, whose iconic image of our president in the 2008 election has become a symbol of hope, responsibility and validation that our voices make a difference to my generation. The music was turned down when it was time for President Obama to take the stage; I'm pretty sure every person there watched him deliver that incredible speech with emotion in their eyes and a renewed sense of hope in their heart. After that, it was time dance in overwhelming relief and throwdown for a real YES WE DID celebration. Thanks to VICE, Chris Holmes, The Embassy and everyone who helped make last night happen and all who came out to make it an awesome election night experience--it was a doozy.
