Anti-Valentine's Day Bash At Birds
Forget the flowers and the chocolate and bring on the voodoo dolls and piñatas! One of our favorite places in Hollywood, Birds on Franklin (right next to the UCB Theatre, in case you feel like doubling up on our alt-Valentine's suggestions), is throwing an Anti-Valentine's party. This is the one party where it will cool to be uncoupled as you partake in what the owner refers to as "group therapy for the disenchanted with love," with activities such as beating on boy and girl piñatas and stabbing a giant voodoo doll as you exchange stories about the worst-ever break-up. Maybe you can top last year's worst breakup story where a girl's fiancee's mother took her out to lunch and broke up with her on behalf of her son. Ouch.
