MooTime Creamery and Marilyn Monroe have in common? They are both connected to Coronado Island, a peninsula off mainland San Diego. In 1958, Monroe filmed the movie
Some Like It Hot at the famous Hotel del Coronado. 40 years later, MooTime Creamery opened across the street from the red-roofed hotel. Sure, Monroe did not try the smooth ice cream of MooTime but that does not mean you can’t. The handcrafted ice cream is perfect to enjoy at the quirky retro store or while strolling on the beach while watching a beautiful San Diego sunset.
