Why: THROUGH THE MIC: LACMA X Hip Hop continues with a diverse night of music featuring special performances by underground hip hop legend Medusa, Koreatown’s Dumbfoundead,and the evening’s opener, Gizzle. Co-curated by LACMA and hip hop artist Murs, concerts focus on the diversity of L.A.-based, contemporary hip hop. After each concert, select contemporary galleries are open late for concert-goers only, with a private run of Chris Burden’s Metropolis II.
