What inspired you to try your hand in LA when your NYC projects were doing so well?
My old family friend and now partner in the Sunset Tower, Peter Krulewitch, was in l.A. Building, an office building, and found what was then the Argyle. He called me up, asked me to be his equal partner and check out the Argyle. I remember flying out thinking, What am I doing? Why am I wasting my time looking at this, I will never do a project in LA! I fell in love the second I arrvied at the building.
