The Village Idiot
For a happening spot in the WeHo area, the new tavern-style and bar at The Village Idiot on Melrose can definitely satisfy the rum-thirsty. The featured cocktail menu includes their rendition of the classic Dark n' Stormy (The Kraken dark rum, ginger beer and lime), as well as signature drink The Hemingway, inspired by an American who famously knew how to hit the sauce, which blends citrus-y, cardamom-y Starr African Rum with grapefruit juice, maraschino and lemon. The Village Idiot also has an extensive food menu of everything from pickled veggies and burrata to fish and chips and burgers for those who want to make a meal of it.
