Rob Zombie's Great American Nightmare
Musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie extends his cinematic skills to the audience by inviting them into the horrors they usually view safely from their movie theater seats with his Great American Nightmare. The month-long Halloween event features three haunted house attractions based on Zombie's horror flicks, plus entertainment to keep you scared until closing time at 1am, Thursday through Sunday. For the faint of heart: check out live music every night, featuring musical artists such as Reel Big Fish, The Vandals, Andrew W.K. and Rob Zombie himself.  Calm your nerves with eats from food vendors as well as beer and wine on hand to take the edge off. Not quite ready to take the plunge into Zombie's world of horrors? Catch screenings of The Phantom of the Opera, House on Haunted Hill, The Last Man on Earth, and other scary films until you work up the nerve. Maybe the meandering monsters will give you a quick scare to prepare you for the real attractions. Warm up: The Haunted World of El Superbeasto 3D, a musical horror comedy film based on the comic book series presents viewers with intense 3D effects that will either make them scream from terror or laughter. Next step: Lords of Salem In Total Black Out. Are you afraid of the dark, close spaces, and the unknown? You might want to step away from this attraction and head to the cinema area to enjoy the movie instead. Based on Rob Zombie's film, Lord of Salem, find your way out of a maze with an executioner's hat over your head to block any kind of sight and muffle your other senses. Can you handle it?: Haunt of 1,000 Corpses. Celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Rob Zombie's House of 1,000 Corpses by going through a recreation of the haunted house from the film. Make your way through "Museum of Monster's & Madman" before heading to the "Murder Ride." The names sound daunting? Just wait and go through the asylums, slashers, corpses, and the blood...and more blood. Unlimited trips through the attractions and all activities in Bloody Boulevard with nightly concerts and plenty of entertainment to keep you on your toes, Rob Zombie's Great American Nightmare will definitely have something to keep you awake for days.
