Griffith Park - West Observatory Trail
Several nice trails cover Griffith Park but the West Observatory route will offer views of two of L.A.'s most iconic landmarks: Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign. A combination of hills and flat areas offers a moderate workout for hikers at all levels, plenty of tree-shaded areas and views of the city with benches along the way to stop and enjoy the scenery.
Access Points: 2333 Fern Dell Drive, Los Angeles. Park on the street near the picnic area and begin at the trail past the bathrooms.
Distance: About 2.5 miles.
