July 14th marks the French National Day, or if you want to get fancy,
La Fête Nationale. Bastille Day commemorates the storming of the Bastille, France's ultimate fortress-prison, on July 14, 1789. The uprising came to represent the end of the monarchy and the start of the French Revolution. The French commemorated this national symbol with
Fête de la Fédération, a huge feast and party to celebrate their independence.
So
allons-y, mes amis! Check out our favorite L.A restaurants to grab a baguette, some vino, and say,
Vive la France! as we celebrate France's freedom to party.
