Hi friends, welcome back for the second half of my list of stuff I want and don't have and feel the holidays are a highly convenient reason to be given/time to finagle them for myself.
I'm not a fan of the holidays, but I do enjoy presents, even better when they're things I actually want. Despite most people I've talked to sharing this same sentiment, I've found the custom of gift-giving to be a challenge not just for givers, but also givees. Ask someone what they want and nine times out of 10 they'll say they don't know, myself included. Gift guides point us in the right direction from the perspective of the shopper with price and inherent message of the gift in mind. So, I thought long and hard about the question and came up with my own present wish list to share with you in the hopes that it might help you on either end of this season's gift-giving.
Of course, these are specific things I personally want but perhaps they'll lead you to explore areas of the gifting realm you maybe hadn't thought to. And yes, you are more than welcome to get me anything indicated on the list if you're so inclined.

We sat down with Anne Pasternak for a few questions about Creative Time's past and future, as well as the importance of having an awareness about public art in the city.
