Cage The Elephant - Melophobia
Melophobia, defined as a “deep fear of music,” haunts in as Cage The Elephant’s third album. The Kentucky band still has their consistent garage undertone with weightless layers of a synthesized draw and light piano keys. Unlike many who have transcended into mainstream radio play, Cage The Elephant has always been able to stay true to their unique sound without forcing it to conform into some idealistic pop-friendly, “We must please the masses,” kind of way. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Cage The Elephant says, “The entire record was a struggle to maintain that naked honesty and I tried to do that for every song.” Inviting you to “Come a little closer, then you’ll see,” fans do not fear!
