Sky Ferreira - Night Time, My Time
Making friends with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and Britney Spears' producers through her hairstylist mother all before the age of 15, this past year Sky Ferreira has proved herself to be a competitor worth listening to with songs appearing in CW's "Vampire Diaries" and the release of her five track EP, Ghost. With this first success, the L.A. native premieres her debut album, Night Time, My Time, on October 29th. She was promoting its release, however, following a New York arrest with her boyfriend last month for heroin and ecstacy possession, Sky Ferreira canceled her tour with Vampire Weekend shortly thereafter due to a recent hemorrhaging of her vocal chords. Needless to say it's been a rocky start for the up-and-coming artist, but personal issues aside, her debut album is definitely worth a listen.
