[All photos by David Crotty for PMc]. Elton John was not about to let Vanity Fair upstage him for star power. Yesterday, he threw his 18th annual AIDS Foundation Oscar party, at the Pacific Design Center. Among those mixing a lil' philanthropy into their social circuit were Perez Hilton (in orange checks, naturally), Peggy Siegal, the ever-fit (who is her trainer?!) Tamara Mellon, Rachel Zoe, Chace Crawford (new episode tonight, FINALLY) Jeremy Piven, Ryan Kwanten, Jason Binn, Lydia Hearst, Tinsley Mortimer (who was running around the City of Angels promoting her High Society reality show, which premieres this week) Christina Hendricks, Kimora Lee Simmons, Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum, Debi Mazar (sporting a weird, feather hat creation), Hayden Panettiere, Rachel Roy, Sharon Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne, Simon Cowell, Nicole Richie, Christian Audigier (not wearing tattoo print, to the delight of everyone not from the Jersey Shore or that does not answer to the name Jon Gosselin), Salma Hayek, Will.i.am, Serena Williams (with lots of decolletage), Cornelia Guest, Jason Lewis and Rupaul. This final face was anything but familiar, dressed as a dapper dandy instead of a sequined gal. You gotta mix it up, every now and then. The Rocket Man wouldn't want it any other way.

Elton John's charitable organization, founded in 1992, has raised more than $150 million to support AIDS prevention, eliminate discrimination and provide care services. They also throw a pretty fierce shin dig.
