Other Details: The 12th Annual Beverly Hills Film Festival kicked off last night at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences . Following a screening of the opening night selection The Black Tulip, guests enjoyed a lavish cocktail reception with Anne Heche, Kelly Lebrock, and Black Tulip director Sonia Nassery Cole. Black Tulip, the 2011 official Academy Awards entry from Afghanistan, was shot entirely on location in that country and tells the story of a family trying to open an arts cafe in a region still haunted by the ghosts of the Taliban.
