The philosophy at Fig, located at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel, can be summed up in one word: local. Fig is all about local selection with their ingredients. Chef Ray Garcia works closely with local growers and producers at the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market, just blocks away, to pick out the best ingredients for his menu. The menu hosts familiar items to Los Angeles natives, with a breakfast burrito, quinoa salad, and veggie burger all as options. Fig also offers a ‘Kegs and Eggs’ special, which is any brunch item accompanied by endless draft beer for $35. Another intriguing item on the menu is the Grand Slam cocktail, which includes a ‘bacon infused bourbon’ (yes, seriously). Fig serves brunch on Sundays from 11am-2pm and is a definite must try.
