This is very exciting news for The Valley! The burgeoning empire of Umami Burger, which already has four locations and a truck, will soon expand to the other side of the hill with an outpost at Ventura and Laurel Canyon. The restaurant is set to open on September 1, a date that will go down in history as the day that there became another reason to go to the valley besides sushi and car shopping.
Umami Burger has proven to be an unstoppable force on the burger front, having opened its first location just 16 months ago, with new ones mushrooming all over town at a time when most restaurants are struggling for business and closing left and right. The new location in the Val will have free parking and boast a classic Hollywood design aesthetic. We're very excited to see the delicious burger purveyor extend itself out to the often forgotten 818 and can't wait to check out the new digs.
