At first glance, the Reel Inn may just seem like a blip on your journey to Malibu’s glitzier offerings, like the Malibu Country Mart or the iconic Malibu Yogurt shop. And although its shack-like appearance may scream otherwise, the ultra-fresh fish tacos at the Reel Inn, recently named one of our favorite restaurants by the beach, are some of the best in the city. The chalkboard menus list the over 15 different fish options with everything from tuna to swordfish that can be grilled, prepared Cajun style, or sautéed for a dollar extra. The fish is so delicious on its own that plain grilled is our favorite way. Your fish taco meal comes with a choice of two sides and a slaw or salad, all for $10.95.
