The Newport Folk Festival, America’s original music festival, drives across the country this fall to Santa Monica, CA for the inaugural edition of Way Over Yonder. This thrilling weekend of live music brings the same spirit to the west coast and will feature two stages on the historic and picturesque Santa Monica Pier, a perfect bookend to Newport Folk’s primary location on the New England shore. Newport Folk explores the definition of folk music, featuring an enticing range of artists such as: Neko Case, Brett Dennen, Calexico, Justin Townes Earle, David Simonett, Jessica Pratt, Neal Casal, Jenny O, Shovels and Rope, Conor Oberst, First Aid Kit, The Felice Brothers, Jonathan Wilson, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Hurray For The Riff Raff, Spirit Family Reunion, Joel Rafael, Frank Fairfield, and Aaron Embry.
