Slaughterhouse at Henry Fonda Theater
As far as "supergroups" made up of individually famous people goes, hip-hop hasn't always been the most fortunate genre (it's kind of hard to understand just how disappointing The Firm was unless you were paying attention at the time). And as much fun as Watch The Throne was, I don't think it's a stretch to say that those two gentlemen were capable of a lot more. Therefore, Slaughterhouse, a group made up of Eminem-collaborator Royce Da 5'9", LBC native Crooked I, club rocker Joe Budden and NYC flamethrower Joell Ortiz, is well worth our attention. While their first album was uneven, they have literally limitless potential, as demonstrated in the 8-minute "Move On" remix, which demonstrates the best of each members' lyrical prowess and is one of the best tracks of the last few years. They're playing the recently reopened Henry Fonda Theater (née Music Box) on Friday in support of their upcoming new album welcome to: OUR HOUSE. [Details] [via]
