The best part about seeing Beck live is that, much like an insipid stoner conversation about the color yellow, I have no way of knowing if the Beck I love is the same Beck you love. That is to say, when the dude basically reinvents himself with every new album, shifting effortlessly from folk ballads to grungy hip-hop to brass-driven electrofunk with little to no quality dropoff, there's really something for everyone.
