Make Music Pasadena

Tired of paying for shows, or not having a chance to get tickets because they are being snatched up faster than the speed of light these days? Well, this Saturday, Make Music Pasadena gives you the chance to attend a huge music festival with over 150 bands for FREE (but $5 donations and up are really appreciated!). Highlights include Yacht (Shangri-La, La, La), Tanlines (dance your ass off, please), Youngblood Hawke (blowing up the airwaves), and Taken By Trees (because you need some soulful singing) to name a very few. If you want to see what all the fuss is about then you have every reason and budgetary constraints to check out this insane event. [Details]

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Thenewno2 at The Wiltern

L.A.-based rock n' rollas Black Rebel Motorcycle Club will be kicking ass at The Wiltern Saturday night. Their garage rock-blues sound has kept them on the rock scene for the better part of the last decade and true to their influences such as The Velvet Underground and The Rolling Stones. Playing along with headliners BRMC is Thenewno2, an alternative rock band out of London that includes Dhani Harrison, who sings lead vocals and plays guitar for the band. You will definitely see the uncanny resemblance of Dhani to his father George Harrison, as well as the incredible musical talent of the band performing live. [Details]
