Culver City's Boulevard Music Summer Festival: The Bonedaddys & Los Pinguos
The great appeal of live music in the summer isn't just the bands or the weather, but the great and unique ways that venues and promoters figure out to maximize both of those things. For example, while we might normally think of City Hall in downtown Culver City as a place that you go to to contest a speeding ticket or annul an ill-advised marriage, for four weeks of the summer it's also hosting an eclectic series of free live music concerts, thanks to the folks at Culver's Boulevard Music. This week kicks off the series with The Bonedaddys, a beloved and ever flamboyant classic L.A. party band that plays a mix of funk, soul, r&b and world music. They're playing alongside Los Pinguos, a latin/rhythm/rock band from Buenos Aires.
