Kidman and Witherspoon saw a lack of challenging, complex work for women in television. So they sought out an author, created opportunity, and accepted the award for Best Miniseries on behalf of Big Little Lies. Choosing to celebrate friendship and fellow sisters instead of compete is a radical attitude, and we're stoked about it.
