"Pretty Wild's" Alexis Neiers, the reality TV star accused of participating in last summer's Bling Ring, just pleaded no contest this morning to the felony burglary charges against her. You may recall the case involving the group of idiot teenagers, dubbed The Bling Ring, who struck the L.A. residences of well known Hollywood stars including Rachel Bilson, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, and Orlando Bloom.
You might also be familiar with the case if you've been following the weekly shitshow that is "Pretty Wild" on E!, a gem of a reality show about Alexis and her whack family including adopted sister Tess Taylor and their former playboy model mother, Andrea Arlington, whose brain is legitimately smaller than my dog, Spike's. He's an astronaut compared to her.
The show has been documenting Alexis' struggle to fight the burglary charges against her, and last we saw, her lawyer said things were looking up in the case and that there was a good chance he'd be able to "make it go away." Looks like the jig's up and it's time for 18 year-old Alexis to face the music. By pleading guilty, she escapes the possibility of a six-year sentence in state prison if convicted at her trial. Prosecutors have cut her a deal for her guilty plea that entails two years of probabtion, 180 days in county jail and restitution to Orlando Bloom for items stolen. She'd been rejecting plea deals for some time but finally caved once she realized she wouldn't be able to wear pushup bras and eyeliner in the slammer. Wise decision, girlfriend!
