The 2002 Grammys did not start off with a bang, but a beep. As Jon Stewart walks under a decorative arch, a red light goes off and a security agent asks him to empty his pockets. What ensued was a sharp sendup of the new overzealous TSA regulations at airport security checkpoints that left Stewart stripped down to his boxers on stage and holding his shoes at one of the most glamorous nights in show business.
