Gulfsteam once again played host to the thoroughbred horse race, Pegasus World Cup, drawing more than 10,000 fans this past weekend in South Florida. The race welcomed top-tier entertainment, celebrities, VIP hospitality, and post-race A-list performances by OneRepublic and famed tropical house DJ, Kygo, who surprised the crowd during his hour-long set with tour mate Parson James as well as Joe Jonas who performed “Dancing Feet” and “Cake by the Ocean.”

King of Miami, Dave Grutman served up the best from his restaurant roster - Komodo, Papi Steak, Key Club and Gekkō – for the ultimate dining experience in both the Carousel Club and Flamingo Room.

“Every year we try to add something new to this unique experience that draws world-famous equine athletes and jockeys competing for lucrative purses and prestige - every year is different and in just seven short years Pegasus has established itself as a must-do event on the racing calendar and Miami social scene. It’s fresh and different,” Nicole Walker shared, Vice President of 1/ST and champion equestrian.

Reggaeton star, Maluma, was in attendance in addition to tennis champions Reilly Opelka and Venus Williams, and style stars like Camila Coelho, Isabela Grutman, Chantel Jeffries, and TikTok sensation Alix Earle.

While thoroughbred races are of course about the horses, few social events in Miami rival the festive finery seen at Pegasus, from pastel dresses in eccentric silhouettes to hats and fascinators of Marie Antoinette proportions. Beyond the fashion was, of course, a day of supreme horse racing - “Art Collector” took home the Baccarat championship trophy and a $3 million purse to boot.
