Daily Style Phile: Giovanna Battaglia, Italian Model Turned NYC Stylist And Editor

by Georgia Bobley · March 2, 2012

Former Italian model Giovanna Battaglia left her hometown of Milan and relocated to NYC early last year to work as a fashion editor for W magazine. Giovanna has been turning heads in Italy for years, and she's quickly becoming a fixture on many US street-style blogs like The Sartorialist and Jak and Jil -- but there's more to Giovanna than her inventive outfits. Though she's spoken about the difficulties of switching careers, she's managed to break away from her modeling past and make a real name for herself as a stylist and fashion editor, and now she's making a name for herself a New Yorker. From quick (and frequent) shopping trips to Barney's to a Welcome to NY party at Cipriani Downtown, Giovanna is learning the ins-and-outs of her new city. Click through to see what this style-icon has been up to since she's arrived in the USA.
