Baz’s unique take on ‘Gatsby’ is glitzy and glamorous, with his juxtaposition of the classic tale and contemporary themes hitting just the right note. This film should really add heat to the competitive Summer season,"
said Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, the President of International Distribution at Warner Bros. His token style includes lots of brazen colors, passionate dancing, and ironic yet forthright sentiment. His productions never neglect the costume design, in part thanks to his Oscar-winning designer wife Catherine Martin, and always include a in sync and timely soundtrack. However, neither of his two largest US projects have received critical success. We will be anxiously watching to see whether he does the novel justice.
