This year, Katy Perry took over Rihanna's spot as the most-streamed female global artist on Spotify. Even though Rihanna's held the title for the past two years, Katy’s "Dark Horse" had an amazing 11 week run at #1 on Spotify’s US Top 50 chart, so there was no denying her the spot.
