Andy Samberg gained notoriety as a key cast member on
Saturday Night Live after he and his band mates joined the show's production back in 2005. Samberg spent his time in front of the camera while his two band mates,
Jorma Taccone and
Akiva Schaffer, contributed to the show's writing staff. Samberg, along with co-star
Chris Parnell starred in numerous shorts before creating parody songs like,
I'm On A Boat, which featured T-Pain. These paraodies truly boosted Samberg's fan base and earned him widespread attention. In addition to
SNL Samberg has starred in
I Love You Man, Hot Rod, and the recently released
That's My Boy; opposite
Adam Sandler.
