N'Dour is a decorated musician who won a Grammy in 2004 for his album "Egypt." At the request of his fans, however, he has decided to become a politician at age 52 and said, "For 50 years the people have seen Senegal run by what I would call traditional politicians and they have had enough." His main objective is to open up the job market in Senegal, a country with a population of 12 million. [Chicago Tribune]
