Filed in the Illinois federal court, Frank Sullivan, owner of Rude Music Inc., and the song's co-author, said that Gingrich used the song at various conferences and campaign rallies without permission. He claims that this is a violation of the song's copyright and demands an injunction to put a stop to Gingrich's choice of entrance music. Surprisingly, this isn't the first time a politician has been sued for using "un-authorized" music. Charlie Crist was sued for using a David Byrne song, but it ended up resolving outside of court, with a really embarrassing Youtube video. [Billboard]
