We have to talk about Saint Laurent. You were tapped by Hedi Slimane to score the Spring 16 Menswear show, and even walk in it. How did that happen?

CB: We were playing at Burgerama, and I had electric green hair. My brother had bright blue hair. And so on stage we were very striking, color-wise. Hedi Slimane, he likes to sneak into those festivals and pick up boys to be in his shows because they're all like really good looking kids down there in Southern California. So he was there, kind of just taking pictures of bands, picking kids out of the audience to model for him, and he saw our hair on stage and he was like [lays on thick French accent]'I want zem, I want zem to do my show.' And he also heard the music too, a lot of those bands are really cool, really nice people, but they don't have the capacity to write a 20 minute song and record it in two weeks for a runway show.

That must have been a challenge, to write a 20 minute song in two weeks...

CB: We had a song that we were like 'ok we can expand this song into multiple movements, change the music a little bit, just riff on this theme.' So what we did, we went to the liquor store and got a bunch of 40s and sat in Joey's basement until we had a 20 minute piece.
