7. Jennifer Hudson to take the stand against her mother, brother, and nephew's murderer, William Balfour. It was almost four years ago when Hudson lost her family to her former brother-in-law and now the trial is finally taking place. The judge proceeding is Charles Burns, who is attempting to purge the jury pool of anyone who may be swayed by Hudson's stardom. The trial will begin April 23rd and Jennifer is on a list of 300 witnesses and is expected to attend every day of the trial, which could potentially take a month. [
