The Glass House
Leave the stones at home when you visit The Philip Johnson Glass House in New Canaan, Connecticut, but definitely bring your camera. Built in 1949 and designed by the legendary architect as his personal residence, the Glass House is now a historic site featuring 14 structures, including a sculpture gallery and various rotating exhibitions. Come for the art and design but stay for the gorgeous natural surroundings.
