Mary Kelly, Habitus and Mimus

Mary Kelly, renowned for her large scale installations, is bringing two different projects, Habitus and Mimus, to the Postmasters Gallery. The Habitus construction is based on a World War II fallout shelter, and features anecodotal texts visible only by a mirror on the floor. Mimus, meanwhile, taps into Cold War psychology, and was constructed using panels of compressed lint. Intrigued? Drop your clothes in the drier, and come check out this unique exhibition on historical narrative.

Through March 24 at Postmasters Gallery, 459 West 19 St. Opening Reception Saturday, February 18, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  For more information, go HERE.
