The startup salon that could, Gertrude has garnered quite a reputation in the art world since launching last year, providing a stimulating social aspect to the contemporary viewing and buying process. After the recent success of its "Intro to Collecting" Sue Stoffel series, the members-only salon is opening its doors to curious creatives for a full on educational experience. Mardi Soir is a comprehensive 4 month program meant to provide an immersive, expert-driven crash course in the art of contemporary collecting. Led by a team of gallerists, advisers, and specialists, the series will take participants everywhere from private collections to artists' studios, which is by far a more unique alternative to any college course we've heard of.
