Katja Loher, Bang Bang

At this point we should all be aware of the necessity of bees and other pollinators, and probably be concerned with that will happen if (or when) they become extinct. For artist Katja Loher, that future is all glass orbs and space food, as she contemplates life after agriculture in her new solo exhibition, BANG BANG. Encased in bubbles of hand-blown glass, mini video screens loop projections of Loher's exploration of ecology and the delicate relationship humans have with it. When: May 1-June 21 Where: C24 Gallery, 514 W 24th St [Photo via]
