ily, an abbreviation for “I love you” is a series created in Photoshop using digital greeting card software that are transformed into her paintings, with each image layer of the file determining the separate applications to the Plexiglas. The reflective Plexiglas combines both abstract marks and repeated figures of blackberries, bats, presents, ribbons, and flowers, all trite symbols that are given new meaning through the work.
