Sikkema Jenkins & Co.: Tony Feher
Whimsically sublime installations made with cast-offs like beer cans are the specialty of this artist who died this year at age 60. This show debuting his last body of work serves as a memorial to the late artist. Over a career that spanned more than 30 years, Tony Feher defined a unique place in contemporary art by creating elegant and poetic sculptures and installations using familiar, everyday objects. Feher’s singular ability to embrace the significance and potential in the most humble and simple materials and processes was a cornerstone of his formal practice.
