Fort Gansevoort: March Madness
You won't find screaming basketball fans at Fort Gansevoort's March Madness, but you will find sport - and the feminine exploration of it. Curated by the duo, Hank Willis Thomas and Adam Shopkorn, the exhibition features 31 female artists subverting the archetypal ideals of strength, fitness, and agility; typically seen to be "masculine." The works also approach subjects such as race, beauty, politics, and pop culture.
