Summer Camp

According to Susan Sontag’s Notes on Camp, the culture of 'camp' is focused on artifice, frivolity, naïve middle-class pretentiousness, and ‘shocking’ excess -- perfect material for a summer art exhibition.

This eclectic group show includes works by artists James Bidgood, Brice Brown, Tom of Finland, Scott Hunt, Heather Johnson, Thomas Lanigan-Schmidt, Cary Leibowitz/Candyass, Jean Lowe, Robert Mapplethorpe, Uzi Parnes, Carl Plansky, John Waters, and Ken Weaver.

Opening: Thursday, June 7, 6-8pm

When: June 7 - August 10

Where: Schroeder Romero & Shredder, 531 West 26th Street
