Harbingers & Psychopomps
From bringer of peace, to harbinger of death, to mascot of social media, birds have long served as symbols for mankind’s high hopes, as well as its flighty fears. At IMC Lab, seven artists channel this feathered ferocity into paintings, robotic sculptures, Twitter-fueled computers displays, and an audio piece featuring the cries of lovebirds.
