Aiko Hachisuka at 11 Rivington

Aiko Hachisuka at 11 Rivington
Appearing like bundles of mismatched clothing, Aiko Hachisuka's five sculptures consume the Lower East Side space. The colorful contortions are, in fact, created by folding and refolding layers of silkscreened clothing and then stuffing them with foam, resulting in bulbous figures that explore textures, textiles, and the human form. When: Through June 14 Where: 11 Rivington [Photo via]
