Paul McCarthy and Damon McCarthy, Rebel Dabble Babble
As a part of Hauser & Wirth's special spotlight on Paul McCarthy this season, the gallery is housing the collaborative project of McCarthy and his son, Damon. The large-scale installation and video projection piece is inspired by the classic film
Rebel Without a Cause and the relationships of its stars James Dean, Natalie Wood, and Sal Mineo. Additionally, the exhibition aims to deconstruct the picket-fence family dynamics of the 1950s.
